Philosophy of Care:
As our Philosophy of Care Example Carehome look at the 'Whole Person' and not just part of a person. It is so important to identify each person individually in order to bring the right benefits for them. This can be achieved when having awareness of the following:
- Their Physical needs
- Their Social needs
- Their Environmental needs
- Their Emotional needs
- Their Spiritual needs
- Their Intellectual needs
Our Vision:
- Vision of Example Carehome is to help people live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.
- We aim to play a leading role in driving improved standards across the health and social care sectors.
- We firmly believe in the importance of keeping clients as active and independent as possible.
- We aim to recruit the right people, and develop them through training to make a positive difference to others.
Our Services:
We at Example Carehome know that the thought of moving into Carehome can often be very traumatic for both residents and relatives but that it is sometimes the only option available in order to maintain personal safety, security and provide appropriate levels of care. Prior to admission, each new resident is encouraged to visit the home to satisfy themselves that the ambience is to their liking. We provide a unique care and support plan that works for each individual. The first thing we do when we hear from a new client is get to know person's life history, likes, dislikes and, of course, their medical history to help us understand their unique needs. Using these information we develop an individual profile and plan of care. We encourage and support people to continue doing as many daily tasks as possible, pursue their interests and hobbies, stay active and spend quality time with family and friends. We will ensure that we work with you and your family, friends, advocates and other professionals involved in your life in gathering all the information we need to make sure we can meet your needs.
Quality of Life:
We understand that quality is crucial to everything we do at Example Carehome. We ensure that everything we do is continually scrutinised. We get feedback from the people who use our services and implement robust systems to monitor our standards. As a Carehome provider, we are registered with the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England, and our home is regularly inspected to ensure that we meet essential standards of quality and safety.

Asked Questions
We are always Ready for your Any question
Whether you are looking for a routine visit or need to speak to us about something more specific regarding your pet, we’d love to meet you soon.
What are the charges?
Whether your stay in a Carehome is temporary or permanent your local authority must carry out an assessment of your needs to establish that you require care in a Carehome before it can help you with the cost. Most people will be expected to pay at least something towards the cost of their accommodation and personal care in a Carehome from their income and capital. The amount that you will have to pay will be determined by a means test following the local authority's needs assessment.
The means test will look at what capital and income you have. Capital can be in a variety of forms including savings, investments and property (such as your own home). The capital value of your property will be based on its current market value less any outstanding mortgage or loans.
If you have more than £23,250 in capital you will generally be expected to pay the full fee, however if you are looking for temporary, or respite care then the value of your own home will not count towards this figure.
If you are looking to move into care permanently however then the value of your home will generally be taken into account as capital although there are certain exceptions to this for example such as if your home is occupied by your partner (husband, wife, or civil partner) or dependant children.
If your property is taken into account in the means test you may be able to enter into a "deferred payment agreement" under which the local authority will agree to provide funding as a loan to be repaid when the property is sold at a later date. This could allow you to move into Example Carehome and begin to receive the care that you need whilst you are waiting for your former home to be sold.
Do you discriminate?
We aim to offer equal and fair access to all eligible people, regardless of gender, family or financial circumstances, race, colour, religion, or sexual orientation. We aim to respond to individual need, whilst promoting diversity, respect and spiritual care.
Cooking is a real chore and I need a special diet. Can you help?
Food is always an area of interest to residents and their relatives. It should not be a concern to either. Example Carehome has a fully equipped kitchen and its fully trained and highly skilled cooks prepare fresh home cooked meals ensuring a balanced and varied diet. Residents who have additional dietary requirements such as diabetes or low sodium can have meals prepared to their requirements.
Is smoking allowed?
Example Carehome has a "No Smoking" policy for the comfort of residents. Smoking is only permitted outside or in designated areas.
